About

A bilingual practice rooted in Ontario and Quebec.

Alex Robineau brings litigation experience to clients who want clear advice, realistic strategy and direct access to their lawyer.

Alex Robineau began his legal career at a prominent mid-sized litigation boutique firm in Ottawa, where he learned the litigation ropes in insurance defence, handling dozens of examinations for discovery and mediations, as well as numerous trials.

Named one of the youngest junior partners in the firm's history, he expanded his practice early on into employment law, construction litigation, and contracts. He represented most of the country’s largest insurers, one of the world’s largest engineering firms, and a major equipment rental company, handling million-dollar claims. All the while, he continued his representation of individuals and small businesses, completing his first trial in Small Claims Court as an articling student and taking it all the way to the Court of Appeal.

Ever hungry and building on his francophone heritage, Alex passed his Quebec bar in 2018, hitting the ground running by handling a multi-million-dollar construction case in Montreal, and building his Quebec litigation practice.

In June 2023, he made the move to one of the region’s most up-and-coming litigation boutiques, working out of both Ottawa and Montreal and expanding his practice in commercial litigation. Here, he represented clients in high-stakes shareholder contractual disputes and fraud cases, while still assisting large businesses with their employment issues as well as individuals in the insurance and personal injury fields.

Alex has now founded Robineau Legal, where his goal remains to provide personalized legal service with one clear objective: helping you resolving your issue, no matter the complexity.
